Our products

What is the difference between synthetic and human hair wigs?

We only carry synthetic wigs. Human hair wigs are very expensive and require a lot of upkeep. A synthetic wig is very easy to care for, does not need to be restyled every day, and looks extremely natural. We find that for most of our clients, synthetic wigs best suit their needs and provide the most value.

Do you carry children’s wigs?

No, but with our extensive experience altering to customize fit, we can make any of our wigs fit a child.

Do you carry seniors’ wigs?

Yes. We are very senior-friendly and have many different styles available in a variety of gray and silver tones.

Can I dye or colour my wig?

No. The synthetic fibres that our wigs are made of cannot be coloured at all. But each style is made in a variety of great colours, so you can definitely get the colour of your dreams.

How much does a wig cost?

Wig prices are dependent on a variety of factors. Our prices range from $275-$490 with the majority of our styles landing between $310-$410.

Can you bill my insurance provider?

Many health care plans will cover the cost of a wig if the hair loss is due to a medical issue. You are usually required to submit your receipt for reimbursement along with a prescription from your doctor. Unfortunately, we cannot directly bill your insurance provider. We recommend giving them a call and finding out what coverage your plan offers and how you can access it.

Will people be able to tell I’m wearing a wig?

Wig making technology has improved drastically over the years, and the right style and fit will look incredibly natural and realistic. When you come to see us, we will make sure you know how to wear your wig properly. As long as your wig is not too worn out and you wear it in the right spot, everyone will simply think you are having the best hair day of your life.

Can I take my wig home today?

We carry over 150 different styles in many different colours. Most of the time we can find the right wig for you in our inventory, and you will be able to take it home that day. Sometimes we may have to order in the right colour for you, which can take up to two weeks.

Are wigs hot or itchy?

They can be, depending on the individual. Most of our clients find that after a short adjustment period, their wig no longer bothers them. There are some strategies for dealing with hot or itchy wigs that we can suggest. Feel free to ask when you stop by.

How do I take care of my wig?

Synthetic wigs are incredibly easy to take care of. The most important thing to remember is that the synthetic fibres will singe when exposed to extreme heat (270-280F). Do not use heat styling tools such as straighteners, blow dryers, or curling irons, and be cautious when opening oven doors, barbecues, dishwashers, and even pots of boiling water. For more detailed care instructions, please see our wig care page.

How long will my wig last?

As wigs age, the colour begins to fade and the fibres become matted and frayed. Eventually, they need to be replaced. How long a wig lasts will vary depending on your own preferences and how well you care for it. Typically, a short wig (off the shoulders) will last nine to twelve months, and a long wig (touching the shoulders or longer) will last three to six.

What other products do you carry?

We carry a variety of other products to help you out in your wig wearing life. This includes toppers, wig stands, brushes and combs, and wig-safe styling products such as shampoo, conditioner, holding spray, and mousse. We also carry a variety of comfortable and fashionable caps and scarves that are particularly well suited for people with hair loss.

Our services

Do you cut wigs?

Included in the price of the wig is any alteration necessary. Wigs are typically made with more hair than most people need and often require some trimming or thinning to best suit the individual.

What if the wig is too big?

We can size your wig to fit your head. This service is also included in the price of your wig, though it can take us a few days.

Will you cut or alter a wig I bought somewhere else?

We offer the same alteration services for wigs purchased at other stores. Please call or visit the shop for a full price list.

Can you shave my head?

We deal only with synthetic fibres, which behave differently than human hair. If you need your own hair cut or shaved, you would be in better hands at a hair salon.

Do you do wedding or grad hair?

If a wig is long enough, it can absolutely be put up in pony tails, buns, braids, etc. If you want some help creating an elegant hair style for a special event, we will be more than happy to help.
